The Role

RDI is seeking a Lab Support for a temporary assignment to assist in day-to-day lab production tasks. The primary responsibility will be capping aliquot tubes and assembling, labeling, and preparing patient collection kits according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). These kits are critical to the success of our clinical studies, ensuring patients and sites have the right supplies at the right time.. 

This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role, perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, following step-by-step processes, and supporting meaningful clinical research.
 

What You’ll Do

  • Cap aliquot tubes following established lab procedures.
  • Separate and organize uncapped tubes and caps prior to assembly.
  • Handle materials carefully to avoid contamination, the rims and interiors of caps and tubes must not be touched or breathed on.
  • Wear gloves and maintain proper PPE throughout all tasks.
  • Turn away from work surfaces and tubes if coughing or sneezing to maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Maintain an organized workstation and clean working environment.
  • Communicate any issues or process concerns immediately.
  • Support other lab prep or clean-up activities as needed.
  • Assemble patient collection kits according to defined SOPs and study-specific requirements.
  • Label, count, and verify kit components for accuracy and completeness.
  • Restock kit inventory and prepare shipments for study sites.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Document kit assembly and inventory activity accurately.
  • Communicate any errors, shortages, or issues to supervisors promptly.
