Venture Builder – Strategy & Operations Analyst (AI & Growth)

About GreenLight.ai
GreenLight.ai builds the infrastructure that powers modern contingent work. Enterprises and leading talent marketplaces use GreenLight to compliantly engage, pay, and support independent workers in 80+ countries.

We’re a small, lean team with multiple years of strong year-over-year growth and we are profitable. Our clients include category-leading companies in AI, retail, online marketplaces, and media/technology (including brands like OpenAI, Walgreens, Fiverr, and Dolby).

We combine:

  • Deep employment and compliance expertise
  • A modern technology platform
  • Expanding AI capabilities to help clients manage risk, streamline operations, and deliver a great experience for their flexible workforce.

Location:
This role is based in Miami or Boca Raton, FL, with a hybrid work model.

We’re open to candidates who want to relocate to Miami; for the right person, relocation support may be possible, but it’s not guaranteed and we’re not explicitly encouraging speculative relocation.

The Role:
As a Venture Builder – Strategy & Operations Analyst, you’ll help GreenLight reach its next level of scale. You will:

  • Own and improve complex, cross-functional workflows
  • Design systems and automations for a lean team
  • Use AI tools every day to do better work, faster
  • Help build and train GreenLight’s own AI tools and models You’ll work directly with leadership across Product, Operations, Finance, and Sales. This is a hands-on role in a venture environment: ambiguous problems, real responsibility, and visible impact.

What You’ll Do:
You’ll typically own 2–3 workflows or problem areas at a time. Across those areas, you will:

  • Map, analyze, and improve processes (e.g., client onboarding, worker classification queues, pricing and margin analysis, internal reporting).
  • Use AI copilots (e.g., ChatGPT and related tools), spreadsheets, and basic data tools to:
    • Analyze data
    • Identify bottlenecks
    • Generate and test options
  • Design and document repeatable systems and SOPs so work scales smoothly across teams.
  • Build or support no-code/low-code and AI-assisted automations to reduce manual work and improve quality.
  • Translate real-world operational issues into clear requirements for Product and Engineering, especially around AI-powered features.
  • Contribute to the development and training of internal AI models/tools, including:
  • Structuring and labeling data
  • Designing and refining prompts
  • Helping define evaluation criteria and feedback loops
  • Define and track KPIs for your areas of ownership and communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

  • We care more about how you think and what you can do than about logos on your résumé.
  • We look for:
  • A clear “why” – why GreenLight, why this role, and why you want a venture-builder environment.
  • Venture-builder mindset – comfortable with ambiguity, biased toward action, happy to roll up your sleeves.
  • Curiosity and learning speed – especially around HR tech, contingent work, compliance, and AI.
  • Structured problem-solving – ability to break down messy problems, ask good questions, and propose practical options.
  • Comfort with data and AI tools – you use spreadsheets and AI as leverage, not as an afterthought.
  • Communication and synthesis – you can explain complex topics simply to different audiences.
  • Ownership – you drive projects to completion and care about outcomes, not just tasks.

Experience & Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of experience in:
    • Consulting, banking, PE/VC, strategy, business operations, product operations, or
    • An analytical/operations role in a SaaS or tech company
    • Exceptionally strong new grads with substantial, relevant internships will be considered.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar) for:
    • Research and summarization
    • Data or spreadsheet work
    • Drafting documents or analyses
    • Prototyping workflows or automations
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable in Excel/Google Sheets.
    • SQL, BI tools, or light scripting (e.g., Python) are a plus, not a requirement.
  • Experience working with processes, operations, or internal tooling is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
