Supply Chain Engineer

While working in Supply chain, you will receive training in key business areas such as Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, ERP (Odoo) Implementation, Manufacturing Operations, Vehicle Product Development, Purchasing, International Logistics, Supplier Development, Import/Export Compliance. Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, or related field
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

  • Experience with SolidWorks 
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (Odoo preferred) 
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Description: Supply chain Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to Support day-to-day supply chain operations by coordinating purchasing, inventory planning, supplier communication, ERP implementation, and logistics at Pareto. This role involves Inventory management, Odoo ERP implementation, coordination with internal and external teams, and maintaining accurate records across various systems. The core team operates from our headquarters in Plymouth, Michigan, where you will report directly to the CEO.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manufacturing support: Coordination with production, ensure material availability, ensure material is staged at correct workstation for production, prevent production downtime
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate with suppliers and distributors to keep inventory records up to date in Odoo. Monitor inventory levels and recommend reorder quantities.
  • Odoo Implementation: Assist with Odoo implementation, improve inventory accuracy, develop standard operating procedures.
  • Logistics Coordination: Schedule and follow up on shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely delivery and receipt of materials, resolve logistic issues.
  • Supplier coordination: Kick of purchase orders and payments on time, monitor supplier performance, follow up on delivery schedules, resolve shortages.
  • Document Management: Understand Pareto’s data storage practices and ensure that all quotes, invoices, and purchase orders are accurately filed in their designated folders
