About the Program
Malco Group's Summer 2027 Internship Program offers college students hands-on, real-world experience across our business. Interns are placed within one of our core functional areas — Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Purchasing, Engineering, or Logistics — where they'll contribute to meaningful projects, work alongside experienced professionals, and build the skills needed to launch a successful career.
Program Details
- Duration: 12 weeks
- Location: On-site at Malco Group – Annandale, MN
- Compensation: Competitive, paid hourly rate [insert rate]
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Intern Tracks
Interns will be placed in one of the following functional areas based on academic background and interest:
- Marketing – Support campaign development, market research, content creation, and brand initiatives.
- Finance – Assist with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting projects.
- Accounting – Support general ledger activities, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Purchasing – Assist with vendor research, procurement processes, and supplier relationship management.
- Engineering – Support product design, process improvement, and technical project work.
- Logistics – Assist with supply chain coordination, inventory management, and distribution planning.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned projects and tasks within your functional area, supporting the team's day-to-day priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in department meetings.
- Analyze data and prepare reports or presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Participate in intern program events, training sessions, and a final presentation to leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your manager or mentor.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline).
- Rising junior or senior standing preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work on-site in Annandale, MN for the duration of the program.
