Nutrition & Special Diets Intern

Woodruff Scout Camp is seeking a Nutrition & Special Diets Intern to help coordinate dietary accommodations for campers, adult leaders, and staff. This paid internship provides hands-on experience managing special dietary needs within a large-scale food service operation.

The intern will review registered food allergies and dietary restrictions, help develop appropriate meal accommodations, maintain dietary records, communicate with campers and leaders, coordinate with the food service team, and assist with the preparation and distribution of special meals. The intern will also help maintain procedures designed to prevent cross-contact and ensure special dietary foods are properly handled and served.

Applicants should be pursuing a degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, or a related field. Strong organization, communication, attention to detail, and an interest in nutrition and food safety are essential.

This is a paid, residential summer internship. Housing, meals, staff uniforms, and weekly pay are provided. Internship or field-experience credit may be available depending on the requirements of the student's college or university.
