GBS Engineering Fall Intern (FA Forecasting)
Are you a current college junior or senior, or recent graduate within the last 24 months, pursuing a degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or a related field? If so, we want to hear from you! UPS Global Business Services (GBS) is looking for a dynamic Forecasting and Planning Intern who is eager to obtain real-world, hands-on business experience.
The GBS Forecasting and Planning Intern works on reconciling the current financial skill hierarchy to the skill structure that UPS uses to forecast contact volume for our US Customer network. This will include learning and understanding current skill structures, identifying necessary modifications and updates to the finance skill hierarchy, and leading the implementation of these changes.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Support IE forecasters with forecast creation and other strategic projects
- Creation of enabling tools, like data visualization, to improve visibility into key metrics
- Support on process improvement projects within forecasting and WFM
- Knowledge and Skills
- Microsoft Office suite proficiency including advanced Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn
- Remote learning or working experience
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Teamwork and collaboration experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Advanced Excel analysis skills – including use of PowerPivot, visualizations, analysis tools, etc.
- PowerBI or data visualization experience preferred
- Presentation and Microsoft PowerPoint skills
