Senior Telephone Sales

Center Point Energy is looking for a Senior Telephone Sales to join our Team, located in Minneapolis, MN

You will have the ability to provide workload management in the Inside Sales & Sales Administration to assure quality standards and sales goals are met. Develop and provide training to new employees as well as ongoing training to current staff. Promote and sell Home Service Plus products and services. Help develop an environment within the department that promotes collaboration, high quality work and professionalism while focusing on our internal and external customer’s needs.

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Manage the workload in the TSC by monitoring inbound call volumes, outbound seasonal initiatives and lead follow up activities in order to achieve sales goals.
  • Manage incoming invoices and sales paperwork waiting to be processed.
  • Serve as the main contact for contractors, regarding installation invoices. 
  • Track and monitor billed revenue, dispatch efficiency and overall departmental support effectiveness.
  • Manage utility and manufacturers rebate process and exceptions.
  • Design and conduct new employee and refresher training for the TSC phone representatives and other sales support positions. Develops sales support tools.
  • Respond to complex or escalated customer situations involving sales of products and services as referred by TSC phone representatives as well as other Home Service Plus employees.
  • Manage lead nurturing process from initial entry of data through appointment setting to open and pended lead follow up. Work to continuously improve processes for lead management and appointment setting.
  • Manage incoming leads from multiple sources; internet, employee, etc. and distributes evenly to the TSC team.
  • Monitor the sales process.
  • Act as a designated telephone sales resource person to give immediate guidance to phone and field reps who need help to complete an order or resolve a customer issue. Contribute to team effectiveness by planning incentives and sales competitions.
  • Perform phone duties during peak times. Promote and sell all Home Service Plus products and services. Demonstrate a high sense of urgency and initiative in covering unplanned peak times.
  • Spend a minimum of 30 hours per week on non-direct sales related activity.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Your background includes:
  • Requires high school education or the equivalent knowledge of English, basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and calculation of fractions and/or percentages), grammar, spelling and punctuation. 
  • Requires a minimum of two years sales experience and a minimum of two years in a role that has involved training and coaching of employees.
