Process Engineer - Plastic Injection Molding

MTNA Anderson Plant is looking for an outgoing, energetic detailed oriented Process Engineer that is a positive, hardworking individual that will work to improve current production processes and procedures to reduce the cost of Quality, improve efficiency, and promote safety. They will work closely with other departments to root cause and countermeasure quality defects. This person must be professional with excellent customer service skills and must be organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
 
 Essential Job Functions:
  • Monitor & control scrap level of injection parts
  • Mentor injection mold change technicians to support with process defects & startups
  • Lead continuous improvement activity with injection team
  • Control injection process sheets & communicating changepoints
  • Ensure training activities of injection mold change technicians are completed
  • Work with internal & external customers to improve part quality to the next process
  • Support on new model launch tooling trials
  • Record & share action items to improve scrap, cycle time, etc
  • Resin usage (scrap) control
  • Achievement of cycle time target of tools


Education/Skill Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree related to Engineering or 3+ years of injection molding experience
  • CAD & 2D drawing knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office programs (Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Ability to program Injection Machines with new and current tooling
  • Have understanding of processing plastic
  • Problem analysis and resolution
  • Aware of consequences to the customer, environment, and the employee if procedures are not followed
  • Mechanical background with ability to troubleshoot analytically
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
