CMHA is looking to hire a Clinical Intern for our Community Connections for Survivors program. This position will be located in New Britain.

Position Summary: The Clinical Intern will be under the supervision of the appropriately credentialed individual, the student intern/practicum student will be an active part of a multidisciplinary team that provides outpatient assessment and clinical treatment services to adults/children who present with a wide range of significant behavioral health needs and substance abuse issues. Treatment is aimed at assisting individuals by helping them develop the skills necessary to improve their quality of life.

Requirements:
  • In pursuit of a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degree in a clinical discipline such as psychology; social work; counseling; marriage and family therapy
  • Demonstrates beginner to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
  • Demonstrates desire to work with children, adolescents, families and adults with serious behavioral health issues

COMPENSATION RANGE- this is an unpaid internship
