Fisheries Technician LTE

The Wisconsin DNR is hiring two LTE (Limited Term Employee) – Fisheries Technicians at our Besadny Anadromous Fish Facility, in Kewaunee, WI.

These positions will be working with cold water fish species at the Besadny Anadromous Fish Facility and the associated propagation areas. The responsibilities of these positions requires a basic knowledge of fisheries culture and fish disease identification, gained through experience. The positions will primarily assist with broodstock care and spawning activities of trout and salmon returning to the weirs from Lake Michigan. Additional work will include facility maintenance and providing educational programs to groups on site.
