Position: Middle School Math Teacher
Courses: Pre-Algebra 7, Honors Pre-Algebra 7, Algebra 1, and Math 8

Overview:
Community Christian School is seeking a dynamic Middle School Math Teacher who is a committed Christ-follower to join our team. Candidates should be passionate about setting a Christian example for students, fostering their spiritual and academic growth, and creating a positive, nurturing, and performance-focused learning environment for students and families.

Start Date: January 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Teach engaging and rigorous math lessons aligned with CCS’s academic and faith-based standards.
  • Foster spiritual, academic, and social growth in a supportive classroom environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and administrators to align curriculum and enhance learning experiences.
  • Actively participate in school events, professional development, and team meetings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Personal belief in Jesus Christ and testimony as a saved Christian in accordance with the Christian faith and the mission of CCS.
  • Commitment to pursuing or currently enrolled in a degree program in Education or a related field.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) in standard English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience working with middle or high school students (teaching, tutoring, or mentoring).
  • Coursework or certification in math instruction is a plus but not required.

Essential Skills:

  • Clear and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students academically and spiritually.

General Requirements:

  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs as needed.
  • Consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
