- Migrate and maintain website content and perform quality control
- Interpret website user analytics to improve information architecture and design
- Design and refresh websites centered around public audiences

Official Position Description:
In Communications, under direction of supervisor, utilizes computer & related software to create & maintain content for websites & webpages. Utilizes existing design patterns, content management systems (e.g., HCL Digital Experience, Contentful, SharePoint), digital asset manager (e.g., Cloudinary), & existing ODOT website governance & state policies to complete content migration & front-end design on websites & webpages, including proper HTML & CSS formatting, brand-appropriate tone & display & responsive design. Utilizes website analytics tools (e.g., Piwik Pro Analytics) & website governance to enhance information architecture, page layout, & overall site & content organization. Collaborates with various offices & divisions to ensure proposed web content meets required guidelines; proposes alternatives &/or suggestions for improved Search Engine Optimization (SEO), comprehension, &/or accessibility.
Corresponds on behalf of the Web Team & the agency with content owners &/or the public. Stays informed of state & federal requirements & industry trends for website design, content display, & accessibility. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Utilizes computer & related software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Cloudinary) to optimize, edit, &/or resize graphics & images for web display. Tags & organizes content with appropriate metadata & taxonomies. Participates in Web Team meetings to discuss ongoing projects, development efforts, & prioritization of tasks. Participates in &/or leads design proposal meetings with internal content owners. Performs regular file & content maintenance & audits to ensure accuracy & timeliness.
This is a temporary position involving various duties that will either supplement a student's major field of study &/or provide experience that is a useful addition to the student's education & meaningful preparation for future professional employment.

This position is overtime eligible per FLSA Standards.

The rate of pay is based upon the student's academic status
Freshman and Sophomore students - $19.50 per hour
Junior and Senior Students - $20.00 per hour
