The State of Connecticut, Department of Correction (DOC), has a vacancy for Correctional Electronics Technician at the Corrigan Correctional Center in Uncasville, CT.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- This position is full-time, first shift, 7:45 AM – 3:00 PM, 36.25 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- This recruitment may be used to fill vacancies throughout State correctional facilities as openings occur within the next year.
- Selected Candidates will be required to attend a 14-week hazardous duty training t the Maloney Center for Training & Staff Development located in Cheshire, CT.
YOUR ROLE
Key responsibilities for this position include the maintenance and repair of:
- Facility door programmable logic controllers (PLC) and interlock systems;
- Metal detectors;
- Facility intercom and paging systems;
- Intrusion alarm systems (i.e. sensors, infrared and microwave);
- Fence alarms;
- CT video recorders, monitors, and surveillance cameras;
- Fire alarm systems;
- Environmental direct digital controls (DDC);
- Hand held radios, base station radio equipment and repeaters;
- Man-down alarm sensors and systems;
- UPS/battery backup units for all security based systems;
- Low voltage distribution systems.
